Do you treat patients of all ages?
Yes, Dr. Shapiro is happy to provide care for both adults and children. Your little ones are just as vulnerable to the most common oral health problems as older children, teens, and adults are. With comprehensive preventive care, our team can help your youngest children enjoy good oral health while learning how to care for their own smiles.
How often should I come in for a checkup?
You should have a comprehensive checkup twice a year. The purpose of a comprehensive checkup is to give Dr. Shapiro a full picture of your dental needs. We always want to make a diagnosis as early as possible so we can provide conservative care. If you’re ready to schedule your next checkup, call us at (415) 461-5926.
Do you place and restore dental implants?
Many implant patients can have their implants placed and restored at our office, without needing a referral to another practice. If you’re considering this versatile service, let us talk to you about your options and how treatment with dental implants works.
What form of teeth whitening is right for me?
We offer two forms of teeth whitening: in-office and take-home. Both can help you achieve beautiful results. The key difference is in how they work. In-office whitening can be completed in a single appointment while take-home whitening is accomplished over a matter of days. Dr. Shapiro would be happy to talk to you about both options and make a recommendation.
What if I’m having a dental emergency?
If you’re having a dental emergency, don’t hesitate to give us a call. Some dental emergencies are easily fixed without coming in, but others require immediate attention. We always try to see emergency patients as soon as possible to preserve oral health and wellbeing.
